WESTERN JOCKEYS MONOPOLIZING HONORS. New York. July 13; Local turfmen are commenting upon the fact that virtually all of the successful present-day jockeys were developed In the west. Eddie Dugan. Vincent Powers. Eddie Taplin, Dick Scoville. Dave Nicol. J. Glass. J. Butwell, Stanley Page. Albert Walsh and E. Martin, all of whom served their apprenticeship In the west, are winning everything in sight, while riders developed by eastern stables seldom get a mount, let alone winning ones.
