TOP 0 THE MORNING RUNS SECOND. London, Eng.. July 13. Six American horses were nniong the starters at Newmarket today, but Harry Payne Whitneys Top o the Morning was the only one of the lot to place. She ran second to the-Ore filly in the Khedive Plate, with Blue Girl, a stable-mate, and August "Belmonts Hasty Pudding unplaced. Dinna Ken and Field. Daisy, from the Whitney stable, were among the also rans in the Beaufort Stakes and Spring Hall Selling Plate, respectively. August Belmonts Boudoir ran unplaced in the Soltkvolf Stakes. .The Beaufort Stakes, of ten sovereigns each, with 300 sovereigns added, for three-year-olds and upward, distance seven furlongs, was won by Marozzo. My Pet II. was second and Albert Hall third. The Soltykoff Stakes of live sovereigns each, with 300 sovereigns added, for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs and 140 yards, was won by the Gorgon filly. The Prepare colt was second and Samos II. third. The Spring Hall Selling Plate of 200 sovereigns, for tliree-ycar-olds and upward, distance five furlongs, was won by Haeklers Girl. Moccasin was second and Base Metal third. The Khedive Plate of 300 sovereigns, for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs, was won by the Ore filly. H. P. Whitneys Top o the Morning was second and Sun Spot third.
