HILDRETH REPORTED ANXIOUS FOR MATCH. Press advices from New York are to the effect that S. C. Hildreth is anxious to arrange a match race between Fitz Herbert and James R. Keenes Maskette to decide the three-year-old championship. He says any distance at a mile or over will do, on a weight for age basis. Hildreth says Empire Cltv will be an acceptable place and if Jlr. Keene wiil agree to such a race President Butler declares he will hang up a suitable purse. If there is no chance for such a race at Empire City Hildreth says he will be ready to engage in one at Saratoga.
