COMMENT ON LATONIA SITUATION. Cincinnati. O.. Juy 13. "What Latonia will do in a racing way the coming fall is problematical," nays the Knquirer. "There isnt a doubt that a misunderstanding prevails between the men that control the destiny of this mice popular course. Those that got their in formation from tme side of the house say there will be no fall meeting and from the other side you learn that there will be a thirty-dar meeting, with purses aggregating SL.OOOa day. "It is also said that there is liable to be a change of control, as one side has secured the stock necessary to accomplish that. "The argument against ,a fall meeting is best ex- pressed "the opinion of Harvey Myers, who said: What is the use of holding a nice meeting to lose money? Mr. Myers, who opposes a fall meeting, was in favor of continuing the summer session. He was not supported in this by the stockholders and six days were all that was added to the spring session. The track made money on these days, with only a fair break in the weather. "One will have to wait for the final answer until the Court of Appeals of Kentucky hands down its decision in the suit of Latonia against the racing commission. The case will be heard in September when the court will listen to oral arguments from the learned attorneys on both sides."
