Macdoiiough in California the past two years, has put in an appearance in the east. Charles Casev. who handled the French mare, Glnette, when she was in her best form, intends to open a public stable on the New York tracks. All the horses in the Hildreth stable have been i doing well at Saratoga. King James and Uncle l especially have been going along in the right way. Herkimer,- the bay colt by Chuctuuuiida Aurics-ville . and Baron Dleskau, by Ilockton Euphrata, are said to be the best of the Sanford string of Juveniles. Saratoga track does nut appear to be especially fast. The dust is thick and deep and there has 5 lieen a grievous lack of rain in the vicinity for some - time. J. J.
