Inflection, away fast, followed Scruples closely from the start and got up in the filial strides. Lotta Creed run a good race and stood the linal drive gamely. Scruples showed much the most early speed, but tired in the last few strides. Laveno was prominent for the first half and, with a stronger rider, would have won. PInkard closed a big gap from a slow beginning and was going fastest at the end. Simonette showed improved form. Gallant Pirate was given a bail ride and suffered from interference. Class Leader trailed .far back over the first ten jumps, then-moved up rapidly and finished fast. l!elI-the:Cat went well, but tired ovvr the last three fences. Gipsauo was always beaten off. The latter forced the early pace and, disposing of Dr. Waldo Brlggs In the first three-quarters, took the lead, but tired from Ills early effort. Pala-mon was far back for the first half, but closed a big gap in the last quarter and finished gamely. Cave Adsum bled after going a half. Pafsalaga took the lead at once and, standing the linal drive gamely, just lasted long enough. English father was close up from the start and but for going wide in the last quarter would have won. Grace Dixon also showed improved form and, hard ridden in the last quarter, finished gamely and got up in the last stride for third place. Kyle was in close quarters for the llrst three furlongs and ran a good race. Amanda Lee was shuliled back soon after the start and finished going fastest of all. Scratched S3ti27 Charmian. Azo trailed distantly and was weakly ridden, but closed a big gap In the last quarter and will improve. Beau Brummel .ran .fairly well. Huerfano tired In the last half.
