Pinkard closed a big gap from a slow beginning and was going fastest at the end. Simonette showed improved form. Gallant Pirate was given a bad ride and suffered from interference. Pala-mon was far back for the first half, but closed a big gap in the last quarter and finished gamely. Cave Adsum bled after going a half.
