JOCKEY NOljTER RESTORED TO FAVOR. Saratoga. N. Y.. August 24. In a letter to a friend here jockey Joe Notter says that he is Tiding in Germany again after a term of idleness: Notter is riding for Weinberg, the Hamburg banker, for whom the American. George Walker, is training, llerr Weinberg put Notter down several weeks ago because the stable was in hard luck, ne thought that a change of jockeys might help matters, and. while Notter was on the ground. Johnny Reiff and Willie Shaw rode the Weinberg horses. But the change did not help. The stable continued to lose and Notter was restored to favor. Since his restoration, Notter lias ridden three winners for Weinberg and two for Jimmy McCormick. McCormick is having good luck.
