WHITNEY HORSES MAKE FINE SHOWING. London. Eng.. August 24. Harry Payne Whitneys horses ran with signal success at York today. Whiskbroom, his two-year-old colt by Broomstick Audience, won the valuable Prince of Wales Plate of 1,000 sovereigns at .1 to 1, with Galatine second and Woolacombe third. Mr. Whitneys Sallie of Navarre colt was among the unplaced starters in this race. Mr. Whitneys Top o the Morning, by Hamburg Morningside, won the Badminton Plate of 150 sovereigns for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs. Photimo was second and Sister Anne third. Mr. Whitneys Oversight, by Ballyhoo Bey For-fot. ran second to W. W. Baileys Pie Man in the Nunthorpe Selling Stakes of live sovereigns each, witli 200 sovereigns added, for two-year-olds, distance live furlongs.
