TWO WINTER RACING PROJECTS. Krom Jacksonville comes the informntion that regardless of the outcome of pending legislation affecting racing in Florida, new tracks will be bnllt in season for next, winters racing at Charleston, S. C. and Havana, Cuba. F. J. Pons is the moving spirit in the Charleston enterprise, while II. D. Brown will be the dominant figure at Havana. If the Florida legislature enacts the legislation sought, by the promoters of racing in that state, there will be a meeting of alwut sixty days duration at Mouerief Park next winter. The Charleston meeting will precede that at Moncrief Park and from the latter place the scene of racing will shift to Havana. In the event of no racing at Jacksonville, the Charleston and Havana tracks will divide this entire season. It is planned to ltcgln work on tho Charleston track about June 1. H. D. Brown plans for the Havana track contemplate a duplication of the principal course at Buenos Ayres. The track itself will be one a mile and an eighth in circumference, with chutes for one mile and seven-eighths of a mile races, besides; a straightaway course for two-year-old dashes.
