DOODLE DANDY followed the early leader to the st retch turn, where he slipped through on the inside and drew away easily in the last furlong. BAIT outbroke the others and showed the most early speed in the going, but tired in the last furlong. AUTO MAID began slowly and finished gamely. MISS JOE was green at the-harrier. ABE. after running under restraint for the first time around, moved up fast in the last turn of the field into even terms with BLACK BRIDGE when the latter lost his rider, then was und?r a pull at the end. NICK O TIME fenced well and finished gamely, but lacked speed. MERRY MAN was remounted and finished third. BLACK BRIDGE set the pace, but was tiring when he lost his rider. . AN-TENOR. best in the going and best ridden, wore MONTY FOX down while rounding the far turn and drew away into a long lead in the last furlong. CAPSIZE ran well and outgamed the tiring MONTY FOX at the end. The latter showed much the most speed for a half mile, then quit under pressure. PYRAMID is a bad post actor and ran poorly. FRANK PURCELL began slowly, but closed a gap and. finishing with a rush, would have won hi another stride. PHIL MOIIR showed speed, but tired badlv in the stretch. COONEY K. ran well for a half and was shut off on the btrcteh turn. FORT WORTH ran poorly. Scratched 94980 King Avondale, 10:5; 94445 Sea Cliff. 103 : 95315 Herpes. 113. AGNAR was reserved under slight restraint, in the early running and, moving up rapidly after entering the homestretch, outgamed KAUFMAN in the final drive and won going away. The latter outbroke the others and showed much speed in setting the early pace, but finally tired- under punishment. IDLEWEISS met with much early interference and closed a big gap with a nish. JOE ROSE was sicedy, but loRed lo the outside fence when entering the homestretch and appeared to have the race won at the time. CHEPONTUC and ROYAL ONYX showed speed, but tired in the iast quarter.
