LOGAN IS FEATURE OF HORSE SHOW. Ottawa. Out.. May 0. The National Bureau showed eight stallions at the Horse Show here last Saturday. Good old Logan, now twenty-throe years of age. was one of the features of the show, and was bedecked with an immense floral horseshoe by his admirers. This old turf hero and winner of seventy-live races, looks hale and hearty and is the patriarch of the bureau. The thoroughbred exhibit almost tilled the large ling, and the horses were examined by Hon. Sydney Fisher, minister of agriculture, and Dr. J. G. Rutherford, live stock commissioner of Canada. The bureau showed several new ones, including Earl Rogers, a superb son of Sain, and Angler, hv Hindoo. The latter was sent to W. H. Williams of Pembroke yesterday. Mastcrman. winner at New York: Koseniount, Valjean, Blue Coat, Firebug and Athel made a fine showing. It was the best exhibit of thoroughbred sires ever seen In Canada. That the bureau is making good was demonstrated by the large attendance to see these horses. There are now over 300 half-bred colts in Ottawa and vicinity.
