LOGAN IS FEATURE OF HORSE SHOW. Ottawa. Out., May 9. The National Bureau showed eight stallions at the Horse Show hero last Saturday. Good old Logan, now twenty-three years of age. was one of the features of the show, and was bedecked witli an immense flora I horseshoe by his admirers. This old turf hero and winner of seventy-five races, looks hale and hearty and is the patriarch of the bureau. The thoroughbred exhibit almost filled the large ling, and the horses were examined by lion. Sydney Fisher, minister of agriculture, and Dr. J. 5. Rutherford, live stock commissioner of Canada. The bureau showed several new ones, including Earl Rogers, a superb son of Sain, and Angler, bv Hindoo. The latter was sent to W. II. Williams of Pembroke yesterday. Masterman. winner at New York: Roseniount, Valjean. Blue Coat, Firebug and Athel made a line showing. It was the best exhibit of thoroughbred sires ever seen in Canada. That the bureau is making good was demonstrated by the large attendance to see these horses. There are now over .100 half-bred colts in Ottawa and vicinity.
