VESTIBULE was outrun to the stretch turn, but finished fast and outgamed CHERRY SEED in the final drive. The latter is a quick beginner and set a fast pace, but tired after shaking off LITTLE PAL. The latter ran the best race he has yet shown and is evidently rounding into good form. TIPSAND ran well and finished close up. LAKE TAIIOE finished fast. CHOCORUA showed early speed, but tired. DULLCARE outbroke the others, but was taken back in the early running, then rame again in the stretch and finished gamely. VREELAND was tiring at tlie end after having raced in closest pursuit to the stretch. SPELLBOUND ran fairly well. GOLD PLATE made the running and raced BANNER into defeat, but made a bad lauding at the ninth fence and tired. BANNER went well, but almost lost his rider at the twelfth jump and was eased up.
