New York, May 8. — Arthur Redfern. one of the best known jockeys on the American turf a little niore than a decade ago. died today in the Coney "island Hospital of injuries received last Friday in jtn automobile incident near Coney Island. His vlfe, who was with him at tKe time of the accident ulld who likewise was injured is in such a serious condition that she has not been apprised of his death.
