UNITED HUNTS MEETING SATURDAY. New York. May 8. — The next racing that will lie had about New York will be Saturday, when the Cnited Hunts Association will have the first of its two-day meeting, the second day being May 19, when the racing will be on at Jamaica. These races are conducted ov« r the Belmont Park Terminal course, which lost its grandstand when the firebug applied the torch at the same time that the Belmont Park stand was burned. It was found impossible to rebuild for the coming meeting, but with large tents that will afford shelter in the event of rain, and some temporary seating arrangement, the patrons of the sport will be made comfortable. The entries for these races had a final closing Thursday, and clerk of the course George Gall has reported that the response of the horsemen has been particularly liberal. Six races are down for decision for each day of sport aud an average of more than fifteen horses to the race is the result.
