DEC KM ATE followed the leader under restraint in the early running, then drew clear in the last eighth and won with speed in reserve. BROOKS closed a gap and, responding gamely to punishment, iinished fast. TRIPLE CROAVN was forced wide on the last turn, but moved up rapidly in the homestretch and was gaining at the end. GILLIES saved much ground on tile turns, hut tired badly and had no mishaps. HARRY SIIAAV began slowly and swerved out frequently. ADALID ran out on the turn.
