TURF NOTES FROM OTHER LANDS At Palermo Argentina the Premio Cerise and White of 4,000 pesos, a five and a half furlongs race for two-year-old fillies, was recently won by the Can Studs Saint Agnes. She is by Polar Star grandson of Galopin "Stray Saint, which, beliig by St. Angelo, is a grand-daughter of Galopin, and she started a good favorite. Those well-known Jumpers, Paulhan, Fizzle, Silver Bay, Bobrezin and Delnadamph, have all been destroyed at Lewes by Tom Fitton. "I know," he said, "that racing men are supposed by some people to be devoid of sentiment, but when- racing was stopped I could not bear the thought of seeing the animals in the shafts of cabs."
