For some years now it has been apparent that the most virile branch of the St. Simon male lino was that through Desmond. Up to July 20 there had been no change in the position. Desmond then came to the rescue in a remarkable manner, and naturally is likely to score further big successes through such good sires as Charles OMalley, Stor-noway, I-fmoiid, not to mention Hapsburg and Fairy King. English and Irish breeders have been swift to recognize these pertinent facts, with the result that most of the horses named have full subscriptions.
