CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF John Paul Jones acts and works like a good colt. J. S. Baldwin won two races at Maisioneuvre Park Saturday. Lord Brighton is displaying a high order of speed in his morning gallops at Saratoga. Jack Carmody has had a yood -riding offer from an owner in France and probably will accept tho contract. High praise is being accorded Leonardo II., the McClelland colt impressing everyone by the manner in which he works. Jockey J. Dominick, for unsatisfactory handling of Gas Mask in the last race Friday at Maisonncuvre Park, drew throe days suspension. For rough riding in the second race at Maison-neuvre Park Saturday jockey T. .Smith was suspended for the remainder of the meeting. The Broomstick colt Moody gives, the work watchers at Saratoga the impression that he is far above the ordinary and looks .every inch u stayer. H. P. Whitneys Damask is showing a return to the form he displayed at New Orleans last winter. Yesterday he worked a mile and an eighth in 1:54 over the Saratoga track.
