CURRENT NOTES OF THE TURF J. Flannigan, former trainer for James Butler, is owner and trainer of Royal Greens. The horses of John Sanford have arrived at Belmont Park, being among the later comers from Saratoga. All the crack three-year-olds in the Whitney stable have extensive stake engagements for both the Kentucky and Maryland fall meetings. Sir Barton, and Boniface are named in all the principal stakes for horses of the older division to be run iu Kentucky during the coming fall meetings. Frigate appears the best two-year-old shown bv Frizzle thus far this year. His dam, Kaskaskia, "a .daughter of Yankee and Kiamesha, was also a good winner under the colors of the Oneck stable. The officials for the Dufferin Park meeting, which opened yesterday, are: Ed Cole, P. Calan and W. R. Norvell, judges; E. Allen, paddock judge; Frank McGinty, starter. M. Hirscli, owner of Grey Lag, winner of tlie first race Wednesday tit Belmont Park has decided to take the colt to England next year to fill his engagement in the Epsom Derby. The steeplechase course at Havre de Grace has been changed to conform with the rules -of tlie National Steeplechase and Hunt Association and the management will offer a number of cross-country races if these contests fill.
