AVbh driving; second and tliird the same. GILT FRINGE began slowly, but had a clear course for the entire race and. finishing fast, out-linished AVISK DOVE in the final drive. The latter closed up gamely in the stretch, but was swerving out in the closing strides or she would have won. AVEDGAVOOD raced into the lend, but met with some interference frdm RUNMIC and tired. RUNMIC showed speed, but tired in the last eighth. JAMAICA BELLE was bard ridden, but could never improve her position. OUR ROOTS set a fast pace and drew away into a long lead and won eased up. INGLEOREST closed up rapidly in the stretch and easily disposed of the others in the last eighth. COTE DOR raced steadily all the way and finished resolutely. COPPER DEMON, shullled back at the start, closed a big gap. MARCELLA BOY showedearly speed. IECLAIR and POUCH were eased up when beaten. PILGRIM raced in nearest pursuit of the leader all the way and moved up menacingly in the stretch, but swerved across the entire width of the track, losing much ground. ON AVATCH was saved in the early running, but could not improve his position when called on for a final t effort. DAMASK ran a good race. Scratched 49581 Afternoon, 107.
