TEXAS TURFMAN DEAD AT EL FAS0 EL PASO, Texas, October 30. The remains of J. R. "Tex" Fitzgerald, who died here Thursday, a victim of asthma, were shipped to Quunah, Texas, last night for burial. "Tex" Fitzgerald, forty-two years of age, was a native Texas turfman. For several years he rode around the St. Louis and Chicago tracks, being in the employ of Frank Doss for some time. Later lie. was known as a trainer, and for the past few years was employed as valet. Tommy Henry, former jockey, is now in Shreve-port with a stable of horses he will take to Tijuana to train for a winter campaign at that track. It is proposed to hold an automobile race at the Juarez track on Christmas Day.
