TIJUANA STAKES CLOS SATURDAY SAN DIEGO, Cal., December 8. Eight Tijuana stakes close Saturday. They are the Coffer Ji Handicap, 0,000, two-year-olds and over, one mile and a quarter; U. S. Grant Hotel Handicap, 0,000, two-year-olds and over, one mile and a furlong; Baja California Handicap, 0,000, two-year-olds and over, one mile and a sixteenth; Tijuana Derby, ,000, three-year-olds of 1921, one mile and an eighth; San Dieso Business Mens Handicap, ,000, two-year-olds and over, one mile and a sixteenth; Tijuana Cup, ,000, two-year-olds and over, two miles; Tijuana Futurity, ,000, foals of 1919, four and a half furlongs; Juvenile Stakes, ,500, foals of 1919. half a mile. The nine lesser Tijuana stakes closed November 20. They attracted nominations from all parts of the United States and Canada, the reviving thoroughbred breeding industry of the Pacific coast states, particularly, being encouragingly represented among the entries.
