Had the ordinance carried it would have been a felony to-have in ones possession an out-of-town paper with racing news. President Cof froth was joyous over the victory and voiced his approval of the solidity of good feeling shown by the merchants and voters of this city. The first of the seventeen stakes which are to be decided during the winter at Tijuana will be run on Sunday, December 19, when the Sacramento Handicap, valued at ,500, will be carded. There are at least forty nominations for the event, among them being Thunderstorm, Edwina, Sailor and other high-class performers.
