i j j ! j j i ! j ! ! ! j ; j I j I j j i j I t j : j j ! i j ! i I I j j i ! ! ; j i , , , i 3 A MIL TONS SUCCESSFUL MEETING The Hamilton Jockey Clubs second and final meeting of 1922 began July 31 and ended August 7. during which time time forty-nine races were run and 2,620 was distributed in .stakes and purses, the daily average distribution amounting to 0,374. The stable of J. IC. L. Ross, ably trained by Henry McDaniel, won the most races and money, horses from this establishment accounting for six races and ,255. Golden Sphere, by his victory in the Hamilton Cup. heads the list of money-winning horses. E. Ambrose was the saddle star of the meeting with ten victories out of twenty-eight mounts to his credit. Despite considerable inclement weather the meeting was a pronounced success, the attendance of last Saturday being one of the largest, if not the largest, that ever attended the racing at Hamilton.
