Won driving; second and third the same. COLANDO, close up from the start, came through on the inside on the stretch turn and, passing PETER PIPER, outfinished NENETTE. The latter gained steadily and, finishing fast, would have won in another stride. CROCK O GOLD closed a gap and finished fastest of all. PETER PIPER set the pace to the last eighth and quit. MARIMBA followed the parly leader closely and, coming in the middle of the track on tha stretch turn, were HIDDEN JUWKL down and won joins away. The latter showed the moat speed, but tired badly under bin weight. PI5ACI5 PAL closwl a bis cap on the inside. CAMOUFLAGE ran well, but came wide on the stretch turn. ST. DONARD finLthml fast. The latter ran a good race in the going, but crowded GREENLAND in the stretch. RKBAROO raced into a long lead, but ran out on the stretch turn when seeming the winner. DEVASTATION steadily improved his position on the backstretch and. gaining aUer rounding the far turn, came to the outside of MAD HATTER on the stretch turn, then was bumped several times in the final sixteenth, but outrinishod MAD HATTER. The latter raced in close pursuit of FIRERRAND and. racing to the front when called on. drew away into a clear lead, but tired badly right at the end. I.ONIFACE ran his usual good race and finished fast. PIVNIST was in trouble while rounding the far turn, but came fast through the stretch. REGISTRAR ran well.
