SARATOGA TURF NEWS A. B. Hancock had another cause to boast today when both Ten-Lec and Blazes were winners. They took the two best offerings and are both the product of his Ellerslie Stud. Hollie Hughes is satisfied that Paragon, the City and Suburban winner in England this year, that he is training for John San-ford, is a truly high-class horse. He said that he was galloping along steadily now, but that he did not expect to have him ready to race at the present meeting. The yearlings purchased by William Parkins will be shipped to Windsor, Ont., on Saturday. The main division of his stable is quartered there, awaiting the second meeting of the Windsor Jockey Club. At the conclusion there it will be shipped to Kentucky. The horses of racing age will go direct to Louisville, while the yearlings are intended for Lexington, to be broken and put into winter quarters. Among the interested visitors of the day were Mayor Hylan and William R. Hearst. They viewed the racing from the box of Clarence Jones of Louisville, and Mr. Hearst made a circuit of the paddock with George W. Loft, where he took much interest in the making ready of the thoroughbreds for their racing. Word was received here today to the effect that an x-ray examination revealed that Joseph Healy, who was hurt in an automobile accident while en route to this city several days ago, sustained a badly injured spine. He is confined in the Hudson city hospital at Hudson, N. Y. The bidding up of Miss Cerina by Sam Louis Monday will result in an increase in the purses in five of the six races tomorrow. The fifth race will be worth ,594, while the first, second, third and sixth will have a value of ,394 each. David Oppenheims Rubke was badly cut down in the running of the first race and may not be seen at the post again for some time. Prince Tii Tii, which Mose Goldblatt raced for Harry Payne Whitney in Kentucky, has been turned over to the Fred Hopkins division of the establishment.
