Y.— April 14.— Although trainer Fred Burlew of the Benjamin Block ntsble is seriously ill at his home in Jamaica, his absence is not interfering with the training of Better Luck, which will be one of the New York sportsmans starters in the Derby. This colt was sent a quarter mile in ti% Thursday.
