HAVRE DE GRACE TOMORROW Exterminator and Other Stars Among Probable Starters in the Harford Handicap. HAVRE DE GRACE. Md.. April 14.— The picturesque course of the Harford Agricultural and Breeders Association is in spic and span order for the opening of th spring meeting of thirteen days which will be inaugurated Monday with the running of the Harford Handicap as the principal racing attraction. Seventeen high -class horses are named to meet in this sprinting handicap, which is at three-quarteis of a mile. The great Exterminator is the top weight, with K 2 pounds, and is reported in fine fettle. He will attempt to repeat his success of last year. There were many at tnat time who believed that Mr. Kilmers champion would be at a disadvantage at such a short distance, but he proved that he could sprint fast and win at three-quarters as well as at longer distances, defeating Billy Kelly. Dexterous. Excdus. Bun-ga Buck. Serapis. Mercury. Due de Morny, Missionary. The- Boy. Broom ster and Bygone Days, The track was heavy last year and old Exterminator simply ran away from his opponents in the last eighth. It appears as if the track will be in the same condition Monday and everyone knows how well Exterminator runs in the mud. Again, as last year. Exterminator will have foes worthy of his steel with such as Careful, Wildur. Champlain. Centimeter. Daniel, Bock-minister. Southern Cress. Dinna Care. Lady Baltimore. New Hampshire. Stoto, Brookholt. Carmandale. Broomster. Blazes and Rubies as likely starters. It is said that Careful was carefully prepared on Dong Island before being shipped here and will be heavily backed by her connections to carry off the big opening feature. Rockminister has been going along slowly and has had the benefit of racing at Bowie, as have several other of the prospective starters in Mondays race. At least a dozen are expected to answer the bugle call for this contest and a fine race is assured. The inaugural program sparkles with promise of interesting sport. The Chester Purse, at a mile and seventy yards, is the secondary attraction and with Tippity Witchet, Irish Kiss, Dexterous. Biff Bang. Paul Jones. Dream of Allah, Rouleau, Hermis Kemble and Eulalia among the entries a spirited contest is in sight. A race for twc-year-olds opens proceeding:, and there will be much interest manifested in this juvenile battle, as all but one of the nineteen entries are first-time starters, with little known as to their qualifications. All the other races have filled well and aside from the uncertainty of the weather the prospects for an auspicious beginning are exceedingly bright. ■
