ROYAL ALARMS NEWBURY CUP LONDON. England, April 14.— Lord Barn-bys Royal Alarm, the favorite at 5 to 1. won the Xewbury Cup today. Mrs. C. Stevens Abbey Island was second and W. A. Higgs Blackland third. The weather was showery and the going heavy, but Royal Alarm ran a good race, completing the distance in 1 :54 and leading Abbey Island to the finish by two lengths. The Stevens mare beat Blackland for second place by a length. Twenty-one horses started in the race.
