NEW STAKE AT AQUEDUCT 4 Broadway for Three-Year-Olds Attracts Good List of Entries. ♦ Non-Winners of a Race of ,000 Value Eligible for latest Addition to List of Fixtures at Queens County Course. ♦ NEW YORK, N. Y., May 15.— The Queens County Jockey Club selected an auspicious time for the inauguration of their new stake, the Broadway, for three-year-old non-win-, ners of a race of ,000 value. Last year there were a great number of really high-class juveniles which, because of the influenza epidemic, never reached their top form. The result of this was that many colts and fillies which in a normal year would have won their way to heavy penalties for all of the three-year-old stakes entered upon their second racing season with only meager winnings to their credit. These horses are accordingly eligible to the Broadway and the entry list of sixty-nine contains the names of many three-year-olds which are receiving serious consideration for the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness. August Belmonts Messenger, H. C. Fishers Cartoonist. H. P. Whitneys Chickvale and R. T. Wilsons Tall Timber are a few of the notable nominations for this ,500 added event. 1HK PJWA0WAT.
