DAUNTLESS began slowly and displayed brilliant speed in racing into a long lead, but tired slightly in the stretch and had to be ridden out hard at the end. CAVE WOMAN was a forward contender all the way and made a game finish, but tired in the closing strides. DKCMSTICK had no mishaps and raced forwardly and gamely tlinughout. APOLOGY gained steadily and finished fast. DUCKY saved ground on the turns. SCPERANNA retired after racing forwardly for a half mile. CLARICE C. II. lost her rider at the start. HOW FAIR ran in nearest pursuit and moved up gamely on the outside after entering the stretch and made a game finish. lOW WOW raced forwardly for a half mile and tired in the stretch, but easily held the others safe. WIGWAM showed speed, but was tiring at the end. TURBULENT closed a gap in the last eighth. EGE showed speed for a half mile. Overweights — Ege, 1% pounds. 0097 THIRD RACE— 1 Mile and 70 Yards. RIGEL ran an excellent race and finished fast and gamely. GALANTMAN finished close up, but tiring. The others were badly outpaced. BATTEKSKA raced in closest early pursuit of MOKMAW and took the lead in the stretch, but tired finally. HYIEKION ran well and saved ground on all the turns. DIAGRAM retired after going well for three-quarters. VUECAIN 1AKK closed an immense gap. MOKMAW quit after setting the pace to the far turn.
