EMPIRE CITY TURF NOTES The Riviera Stables horses have been shipped to Pimlico. Roger Minton has left for Laurel to superintend the shipment of, horses from that point to Havana, Cuba, Friday. Sandy McNaughton sold Firm Friend to the California Stable before the races at Empire City today. The colt will be trained in the future by Clarence Buxton. Rider R. McGrann was set down for tho remainder of the meeting by the stewards, for crossing too closely in front with Impossible at the start of the second race. C. A. Applegate and B. A. Lane will ship their horses to New Orleans Thursday. Lane has taken over for the winter the apprentices A. Hunt and R. Uslan. Hunt is under contract to J. Simon Healy and Uslan to J. E. Madden. The Rancocas Stables Zev will have his final trial for the Latonia Championship Stakes in the Autumn Championship Stakes for all ages at Empire "Wednesday afternoon. He will be shipped to Kentucky Thursday morning instead of Wednesday, as had been planned. 4
