LUKE McLUKE IN ILLINOIS Now Standing at John Hertz Leone Stud Farm at Cary. CARY, 111., Oct 30. Fourteen thoroughbreds, the property of John Hertz, have arrived here from Lexington, Ky., and are now in quarters at Leone Stud Farm. The shipment included the stallion Luke McLuke, eight- mares and five weanlings, all of which were either sold by J. O. Keene to Hertz or purchased by him for Hertz, who has splendidly equipped his Illinois farm for the handling of thoroughbreds. The mares are Addie, Aunt Josie, Cotton Blossom, Koum Kaleh, Princess Mafalda, San Blast, Scrutiny and "War Love. The weanlings are: Chestnut colt, by Luke McLuke Aunt Josie ; brown colt, by Pagan Pan- Koum Kaleh ; chestnut filly, by Maintenon Princess Mafalda ; brown filly, by Luke McLuke Scrutiny ; bay filly, by Maintenon "War Love. It is intended that Luke McLuke will make the season of 1924 at Leone Farm. Aside , from these eight mares Hertz has half a dozen others at the farm, and there will be a sufficient number of visiting mares to fiil Luke McLukes book.
