PIMLICO TURF NOTES i TL T. "Wilson was another arrival from New York. Geo. "W. Loft was an arrival from New York and will remain over for the remainder of the week. H. J. Kennedy, whose horses left on the Empire City Special last week, left for Havana yesterday. O. M. Derossett will turn Harmonious out at the conclusion of this meeting and will ship to Cleveland, Ohio. Homestretch worked an extra, half mile after the third race in preparation for the Pimlico Cup Monday. Jockey J. Shelpets, who was injured in a recent steeplechase, has shown but little improvement in a local hospital. Jockey "W. Anderson, under contract to J. F. Richardson, was taken ill this morning suffering from ptomaine poisoning. The condition hooks of the first nine days of the Oriental Park meeting were distributed among the horsemen by Dr. Ashe. According to Dr. IT. J. McCarthy, Edward Arlington has added the sprinter, Dominique, to the sale, which will be held on Friday. Joseph Tevis stopped off en route to New Orleans. His own horses and those of J. L. Holland were shipped south for winter racing. "William Howard will leave for Tijuana Saturday. He will assist starter Marshall Cassidy during the meeting at the Mexican course. Albert Simons arrived today and stated that he had turned out the Log Cabin stable at "William Averill Harrimans farm, Goshen. N. Y. James McLaughlin, who will act as one of the stewards at Orienal Park next winter, will leave for Havana November 15 with his son Austin. J. S. Cosden added Bigheart and Golden Rule to the sale which will be held in the paddock tomorrow morning at 10 :30 by Dr. H. J. McCarthy. Frank J. Kearns arrived from Empire City with Comedy, Dan Boiling, St. Gerard, Flying Devil and Spugs. The horses were shipped over to Bowie. Ray Sorrel, with Belcross, arrived in the same car. Mr. McCulley was an arrival from New York. He came to Pimlico to look over some of the horses that James Rowe is sending to Bowie to carry the colors of Harry Payne Whitney. Dr. H. J. McCarthy made a trip over to Bowie yesterday to "fire" several horses in the stable that Geo. Phillips is handling. "While there he fired E. P. Summerfields Explosive.
