BONA VERA began slowly, but gained steadily through the stretch nd made a game finish. BALDINE fought it out resolutely through the stretch. LADY BURROWS 7 closed a gap in the last quarter. EXIT retired after racing prominently to the last eighth. GENTLE " JULIA ran well. Won easily; second and third driving. LUGS raced forwardly under restraint until rounding into the stretch where he passed BEN BOLT into the lead and held WESTWOOD safe during the final drive. WESTWOOD, probably much the best, was away slowly and forced back repeatedly in the first quarter, but saved ground when into the stretch and finished fast and gamely. BEN BOLT set a fast pace, but began tiring in the last eighth. : AVISPA raced well. SUN BRAE tired after running a gcod half mile. ARCTIC KING ran far below his real form.
