JUDGE NELSON ON WAY HOME TO TORONTO Francis Nelson, the well-known Canadian racing official, who has been the presiding steward at the Tijuana winter meeting, passed through Chicago on his way home to Toronto. Judge Nelson and his wife accompanied starter Marshall Cassidy and his wife on a motor trip from Tijuana to I.os Angeles and other points of interest in Southern California to San Francisco before taking the train for Chicago. He proclaims Kunstar. winner of the Coffroth Handicap, one of the grtatest handicap horses of the present day. | and believes if A. H. Spreckels would send the Runuynaede colt east that he would prove his superiority. Judge Nelson was much impressed with the growth of thoroughbr. d breeding in California, and sees a great future for the horse and the sport of racing in the far West
