TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM PIMLICO BALTIMORE. Md.. May 3. G. W. Foreman claimed Elemental from H. P. Headley for ,000. J. Brown is soliciting entries for the Saratoga steeplechases which close Monday. Applications for trainer and jockey licenses for Canadian racing should be made at once. Joe McLennan will accept them here. H. Trueman claimed Sea Fairy from J. S. Coadea for ,500 and refused ,000 for the Sea King filly after her race. The filly will run in the interests of Dr. R W. Carter. S. Ross bought Widow Bedotte from E. Tru«man. The Ildrim mare will be shipped to Pagebrook Farm in Virginia and bred later to J. E Wideners Stefan the Great, an English importation of last summer. Joe McTennan reported satisfaction with the Woodbine Stakes entries, which dosed Saturday, and came here from New York to solicit entries for the Blue Bonnets fixtures. They will close Monday. I ouis Angevtee, secretary of the Montreal Jockey Club, will return to his home after the Blue Bonnets stakes are closed.
