Catamaran of the Smallman Stable was credited with a mile in 1 :49. Peter Walls has been enagaged to ride Thornton in the Kings Plate. The Riverdale Stables four-year-old Delusive was sent three-quarters in 1 :20. Jockey P. Walls has arrived from Brooklyn and has reported to Henry McDanleL Paul Ciceris Real Artist, the Queen City Stables jumpers and a division from the Bedwell string have arrived at the track. Henry McDaniel gave the J. K. L.. Ross horses useful work and trainer George Simmons gave the plater Rebus a mile around i 1:50. j Jockey Fred Gariepy will ride for the ! I stable of Jack Whyte. who will also look after the outside engagements of this prom- j ! ising rider. | I Joseph McT.,ennan, racing secretary for the Canadian Racing Associations, has arrived , from Pimlico and was a visitor at the track i ! Monday morning. Dale Brothers of Markham have turned over to Jack Whyte two of their prominent thoroughbreds— a five-year-old Knglish-bred and a two-year-old by Sobieski. I O. A. Razon purchased at private sale the three-year-old Tidal Wave from Miller Hen- | derson. The horse has been turned over to Allan Bullcroft for supervision in training. Jack Reid, an apprentice with John Nixon, I whose riding in recent engagements has been exceptionally promising, has been added to I I the regular staff, having graduated with honors. ! J. The plater, Mexican Pete, made an im- pressive move Monday morning with Floyd i j Cooper in the saddle, covering the mile and an eighth in 1:57%. The first eighth was recorded at :12 and the half at :4D%. Fd Seagram, accompanied by W. W. Fer- guson. agent for the Seagram stable, came down from Waterloo to inspect the horses at the track. There are twenty-five horses of i the Seagram stable now at Woodbine. Fugeno W. Bury, who will officiate as associate judge at the meeting of the Back River Jockey Club at Montreal, was a visitor | at the track prior to his departure for the I eastern city. Mr. Bury officiated at the j Columbus meeting.
