I CHICAGO SPECIALS TO DERBY First Now on Way to the Downs, With Others Following and the Big Public One Leaving Friday. The race-going public began leaving Chicago Wednesday on their way to the J "Downs," when the first of the several spe- cials got under way. Thursday and Friday trains will follow night and morning. Rong since reservations for compartment cars have been out of the question ; also all private cars have been taken ; so those who have not made reservations months ago will have to be satisfied with the regular sleeper accommodations — all that is left . All the big clubs, the Chicago Athletic Association, Hamilton Club, All American, Standard, Knights of Columbus, Alderman, Board of Trade, Stock Exchange and 150 special cars, forming special trains, are scheduled to leave Wednesday, Thursday and 1-Yiday evenings. The greatest crowd naturally will leave ort Friday night when the Chicago Business Mens Racing Association send out their public special. All told, over a thousand reservations have been reserved for the lovers of horse flesh. Those going on the Wednesday and Thursday specials have arranged reservations at West Baden and French Lick and will spend two days at the golf links. They will arrive at Louisville Saturday morning and will return to the Springs Saturday night, spending Sunday thero; returning in time for business Monday morning. — ■ a
