BABRAGK raced into the lead with a rush on the first turn, but ,t finished tiring and had to be ridden hard to hold second place. MODESTA ran well. DOWN TOWN had j no mishaps. RURAL KOlTE, probably much the best, was forced brck sharply on the first turn and, easing -up in the last eighth, would have been closer up if ridden cut. FLYATIT tired in tho stretch. JACK FROST tired in the last eighth. PASTORAL SWAIN ran well. FERGUSON was far back for most of the race.
