JUDGE MURPHY TO GO EAST TORONTO, Ont., May 28. — Joseph A. Murphy is setting his forces for the closing of the Hawthorne Stakes on June 14. The Chicago Derby with 5,000 added, the Independence Handicap and Labor Day Handicap, each with ,000 added, close on that day. Francis Dunne will leave Maple Heights after the close Saturday and remain at La-tonia to June 14, and then go to Chicago to take charge of the assignment of stabling, which promises to be quite a task. Herman Conklin, now at Ottawa, will go to New York for the closing of entries, and John Carey, officiating at Omaha, will look after the Westerners. Judge Murphy will go to Belmont Park Monday night for a day or two, then to Iatonia for a day and back to Chicago to stay on the job.
