GAD took the lead quickly and, setting a fast pace, withstood a challenge from CLONASLEE in the early running and outstayed DICK WHITTINGTON in the final drive. DICK WHITTINGTON was outrun for the first half, but came on the outside on. the stretch turn and finished with a rush. ZERO HOUR was pocketed In the first eighth, but saved ground on the stretch and finished gamely. CLONASLEE began in a tangle and was rushed up to the leader and tired badly in the final drive. DUETTISTE jumped well and, showing the most speed on the flat, was interfered with when ISIS crossed in front at the ninth Jump, but drew away and won pulled up. CARABINIER began Mowlv, but moved up steadily and finished fast. DAMASK finished well under hard riding and out-gamed HOUDINI in the final strides. The latter raced well, but tired finally. DUNKS GREEN jumped well. SANS PECHE and ISIS tired. AUTUMN BELLS lost his rider at the twelfth jump and MELRA fell at the sixteenth. SKYSCRAPER showed early speed, but met With interference on the far turn and was forced to be taken up. DREAM MAKER raced well. Won easily; second and third driving. NORMAL, close up from the start, raced into the lead on the last turn and easily held the race safe to the end. MARYLAND BELLE, closer up than usual, was forced wide when entering the stretch, but finished gamely and outstayed OVERTAKE in the final drive. The latter showed the most ppeed from the start to the stretch and finished gamely. BAR GOLD began slowly, but saved many lengths on the stretch turn and finished fast. SCARE CROW finished well.
