HAM KEENE ENROUTE EAST Departs for Belmont Park to Take Charge of Stable of J. E. Widener. LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 1. Ham Keene departed for Belmont Park Friday night to assume his new duties as trainer of the J. E. Widener Stable. The Keene Stable now at Churchill Downs will be looked after by Jack Keene. The latter announced that a majority of the stable horses in training together with twelve highly regarded yearlings will be sold at private sale, and those remaining unsold at the end of the Downs meeting would be sent either to Tijuana or Havana in charge of Lige Brewster for a winters campaign. The horses that are on the reserve list are Alice Blue Gown and the two-year-olds, Mr. Pipp, Tesuque and Twilight Hour. The two latter ones will be used for brood mares next spring. Alice Blue Gown will be retired at the end of the fall season and will be bred to one of the Keene stallions. Flowers of Love has already been retired to Keenland stud, and in the spring will be bred to the young stallion. Sand Mole.
