SAMPLE, outrun during the early racing, gradually overhauled the leaders on the last turn, closed fast on the outside and was going away at the end. EMMA WILLIAMS, from a forward position, moved up rapidly leaving the back stretch, but probably made her move too soon had nothing left when the winner challenged. BABR1SKANE was pinched off shortly after the start, had to go aronnd several horses on the turn and tired after getting to the leaders. KUNLEIGII quit in the final quarter. BUSY BOB tired after showing fair speed. BOXATELLO showed a head in front and then dropped entirely out o it. EVALYX IIARHIGAX quit to a walk. Scratched S5929 Smiling, 90. WAR WINNER, beginning fast, showed the most speed, but, after entering the back stretch, was taken back and saved behind the leader to the last turn, where he saved ground on the inside and, coming through fast, won drawing clear. PLUNGER ret a good pace and began swerving out on the last turn and, finishing well, easily outgamed ZING in the final dricc. ZING ran well and finished gamely, n. WARREX had a rough race and made up some ground on the out.!le in the last half. AltGOXXE FOREST showed improvement. GLANMORE closed up quickly after turning in the stretch and, catching the pacemaker at the fiual eighth post, outgamed him in the final drive. ZEALOT set a good pace and stayed gamely when caught, but could not withstand the challenge of the winner. FRAXK FOGARTY dropped back momentarily after leading the back stretch, but came again in the final drive and easily held DOLPH safe. DOLPH was pinched out shortly after the start and did not recover until entering the back stretch, where lie made up ground rapidly, but tired in the stretch drive. Overweight Glanmore, 2 pounds. BRIGHT IDEA made up ground from the three-eighths post, but had no chance to catch the winner. PUBLISHER showed a high turn of speed in pacemaking, but gave way when challenged by the winner. LITTLE CLAIR lost some ground on the last turn, but finished fast. nALU showed the most speed to the far turn and gave way temporarily to FAIR ROWENA, then, raving ground on the last turn, came again in the stretch. FAIR ROWENA showed more speed today than uual. but, after heading HALU, tired badly. CRUZERX was never far awa, but tired in the stretch. HONEY DEAR quit badly. Scratched 85871 Tingling. 103.
