: t HAVANA TURF NOTES HAVANA, Cpba, Dec. 5. j The club will announce the conditions of the ?2,500 and the ,000 special races next week. . D. W. Hosmers string, which included Cottager, Rosamond, Digest; Kitty Sand and Gex, arrived from the Maryland course. Jockeys Corey and Abel Avere also arrivals from Bowie, and will ride free lance here this winter. Jockey Holecko was suspended for six days except for his contract employer, for carrying out the field in the fourth race yesterday. George Mills, who arrived here last week, was taken ill Sunday and has been confined in the .American sanitarium in Vedado. He is greatly improved today and will return to the States the latter part of the week. Mr. Mills home is in Bayshore, Long Island. James F. Milton, assistant manager of the Cuba-America Club and also the starter at Oriental Park, underwent a surgical operation today at 11 oclock at the Anglo-Saxon Hospital for appendicitis. Dr. Laine stated that the patient stood the ordeal satisfactorily and in twenty-four hours will be able to say with some assurance what the result will be. Mrs. Milton also is a patient at the Anglo-Saxon Hospital and is recovering from a heavy cold.
