"Won driving; yccond and third the Fame. YUI5AX forced a fast pace from the start and, after passing LITTLE LESS in the stretch, gamely withstood the fast-coming TIMELY THOUGHTS. The latter was close up from the start, but lost much ground on the last turn, then was fast wearing the winner down at the end. ANGELA was close up and outfinished LITTLE LESS in the final drive. The latter tired badly after setting the pace for a good three-eighths. DR. T. S. DARXEY began well and was clear of interference, but immediately began falling back and was beuten off. MALZAVENA, racing without blinkers, gained steadily after leaving the half and, challenging the leader when a sixteenth out, drew away quickly to win going away. ATHANNA, after racing DE LAND into defeat, drew away into a long lead, but gave way when the winner got to her. DE LAND raced well to the stretch, but tired badly and pulled up lame. KIRKWOOD, from a good start, fell back immediately, but was closing up ground at the end. EFFIE RANDALL ran fairly well. RINGLEADER tired badly in the final quarter. Won driving; necond and third the Fame. DR. CLARK set the pace all tiie way and appeared an easy winned when an eighth out, then tired and had to be ridden out sharply to the end. RIVAL forced a good pace and finished gamely through the stretch. MY DADDY began to close up rapidly on the far turn and was momentarily impeded, then found an opening and, saving ground when entering the stretch, finished fast on the inside and barely failed to get up for second place. ROYAL VISITOR finished gamely and gaining. Scratched S59485Postillion, 104. Overweight My Daddy, 2 pounds.
