LATEST TURF GOSSIP FROM NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS, La., Dec. 5. Starter Hamilton has added "Old Paige, St. Quentin and Telescope to the schooling list. Dr. O. G. Akers arrived Friday from Maryland with a stable of three horses. Willie George, apprentice rider from Texas, arrived Friday and will ride for the stable of J. J. Manale. The only horses that Joe BaueV brought here from Maryland were The Roll Call, Sun Mart and Rupee. They are quartered at the Fair Grounds. The second edition of the Jefferson Park program book, covering the period from December S to 13, inclusive, was distributed among the horsemen Friday. J. Shanks, the apprentice who finished second with Rubien in Thursdays sixth race, is under contract to William Garth, trainer of the J. S. Cosden stable. Garth is anxious that this youngster should gain riding experience this winter and has entrusted him to the care of William Bartholomew, who will make his riding engagements.
