9 CHURCHILL DOWNS NOTES LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 14. J. W. Marchbank, whose stable is racing at Tijuana, has requested stabling room at either of the local tracks for ten horses. Dr. R. H. Manogue, veterinary surgeon. Saturday examined Quatrain thoroughly and pronounced the colt in perfect physical condition. He also attended to the colts teeth, finding it necessary to file a number of the molars. Ex-jockey "Ted" Koerner of Louisville has been engaged as assistant trainer of the Bert William stable. Koerner has a two-year-old named Unreasonable that he has had in , training at Douglas Park since last fall, and which will race in his colors this year. Pat Stanton, who went to Huntington on 1 business, returned to Louisville Monday. The two-year-old filly Arcaloosa, in the stable of Kay Spence, has fully recovered 1 from an attack of illness and will shortly be put back in training. The stable of Carl Wiedemann arrived ■ Monday from Miami in charge of trainer "Tom Brown. The horses were given quarters ■ at Churchill Downs. George Land returned Monday from Lexington, j where he arranged to have shipped 1 to Churchill Downs Joan of Kent, a brown 1 filly by Granite — Margaret, which he will 1 train for William Showalter.
